Re-Cap of FoR/HA March Meeting!

1. Laser Tag great success, raised approx. $1,300! Thank you to Laura Mulrenan for coordinating this super fun event!

2. Mendocino Farms raised $285. Shout out to Marion Koster for being our “Restaurant Night Queen”.

3. Other fundraising idea: eSports Gaming Lounge Studio City.

4. Will inquire Shakespeare Series possibly returning for 7/8thgrades this spring.

5. Astrocamp went well, despite transportation challenges. Kids loved it!

6. Future overnight field trips preferably outside school hours/non-LAUSD sponsored.

7. Possibly set up early fundraising/payment plan for expensive overnight field trips.

8. Next year’s open board positions: President, Co-President, VP Fundraising, Treasurer, Secretary.

9. Outreach to new incoming families. 5/29 event at school, possibly summer events.

10. Walk 4 Water April 2nd after school to raise funds for water fountain.

11. Reed 80th birthday gala and silent auction 5/11 (auction items needed, proceeds will be credited to contributing SLC).

12. Next parent meeting combined FOR/SLCs on 4/25 at 6pm

Laser Tag Night!

FoR/HA will be hosting another super fun Laser Tag night at Ultrazone in Sherman Oaks! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 26th frm 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.!

We will be offering pre-sale tickets at $25, the price will be $30 at the door. Pre-sale flyers are going home with students. All proceeds benefit the Humanities Academy, but all are welcome to play!

Mendocino Farms Restaurant Night!

Please join your friends and neighbors in support of our amazing Humanities Academy! Discover the newly opened Mendocino Farms Restaurant in Studio City on March 5th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.!

Our field trip to AstroCamp has been rescheduled and is now MARCH 15-17, 2019. This is a minimum day and we will be leaving for camp at 1pm. We understand there may be instances where this date no longer works for your student, or a student may now be interested in participating. A new intention slip will come home on Tuesday, 2/19 for all students. Please note, if your student is now unavailable and you have paid for the trip, a refund will be provided to you. If your child could not attend the trip this weekend but is available to attend the new date the $100 deposit is due February 22nd, the $250 remaining balance will be due March 1st.
