Dear Humanities Academy Families and Friends:

FOR-HUMANITIES  (FOR-HA) welcomes you to Walter Reed Middle School! FOR-HA is a non-profit parent group dedicated to the enrichment of the Humanities Academy by fostering a a supportive community and raising funds to provide supplementary classroom materials, field trips, collaborative enrichment, school wide events, and more! FOR-HA also works with the school administration and other school groups to support the entire Walter Reed Middle School community.

We welcome and encourage all Humanities parents to get involved. Join in the discussions and decision-making process by coming to our meetings. When your schedule permits, volunteer! Sign up for a committee, as a teacher liaison, member of the executive board, or simply give your time, expertise, and input. Our meetings are generally scheduled to be held on the second Thursday of every month, alternating between morning and evening to accommodate everyone’s busy schedule.

We also suggest that you bookmark our website and check it frequently for updates, events, and news about our Academy, as well as the school at large. We so look forward to your participation!

Kindest regards,
Bridgette Fischer & Leslie Swierard
